We love nothing more than talking about books. Well, maybe Tea, but we can love two things right?! If you love talking about books too, then why not join one of our awesome book clubs?
At the Imaginarium, we’re keen to help build a community of book lovers. Our book clubs are part of this goal.
We run 8 book clubs across 4 genres:

Sci-Fi & Fantasy
These groups read a wide range - from Romantasy & Grimdark to Space Opera’s & Cyberpunk.

Crime Fiction
This group reads Thrillers, Police-Procedurals, Mysteries and more!

Horror
Scared? You should be! Join us to to read Gothic, Post-Apocalytipc, Supernatural & much, much more!

General Fiction
Reading a wide range of contemporary, historical and literary fiction, these groups are great for those readers who don’t ‘fit’ into one of the other clubs!
When do they meet?
Please see below for full details for when each group meets. We have a variety of days and times to hopefully suit everyone!
Science Fiction and Fantasy:
Phoenix - Mid month, on Wednesdays. 7pm. FULL
Dragon - End of month, on Tuesdays. 7pm. FULL
Griffin - Mid month, Sundays. 5PM. FULL
Werewolf - 3rd Monday of the month, 6pm. SPACE
Crime Fiction:
Group 1 - 2nd Tuesday of the month. 7pm. FULL
Horror:
Group 1 - 1st Sunday of the month at 5pm. FULL
General Fiction:
Group 1 - Mid month, on Thursdays. 7pm. FULL
Group 2 - End of month, on Thursdays. 7pm. FULL
How do they work?
Our meetings are monthly, which hopefully gives you plenty of time to read the selected book. At each meeting, you can purchase the next months read. Our books are chosen through a combination of member recommendations and Imaginarium Staff oversight. We try to select titles that will be a little different, although we sometimes can’t help but chose the hottest new title.
Book club members buy the book from us and this acts as your “ticket” and we meet at the shop. We provide light refreshments and the meetings last about 1.5 hrs, with some groups staying after the discussion to socialise with other members.

Spaces on our book clubs are offered on a first come first served basis and we are unable to hold spaces.
