Authors Guidelines

Have you written a book and hope that we can stock it at the Imaginarium?

Firstly, congratulations! Writing a book is a huge accomplishment and we have a huge amount of respect for this.

Before you send us anything, please read this guide from the Society of Authors, and think about the following questions in regard to your book and our shop:

Is your book self-published?

Due to an overwhelming amount of submissions, we are not currently taking any self published submissions into the shop. We will review this in the future and update this page accordingly.

Does your book fit with our curated collection?

We are a predominately fiction based bookshop and specialise in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. We spend a lot of time curating our collection to be able to sell and recommend books with enthusiasm and confidence, will we be able to do this with yours?

Is your book visually appealing?

We know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but the reality is that most people do!

How can we order your book?

Due to the work involved managing suppliers, we only accept submissions that are avilable directly from the publisher or through Gardners.

If you think your book meets our requirements:

Please contact us using the form on the website to start a dialogue.

Due to limited space, we have to choose carefully what we stock, if we decide not to stock your work, this is not a reflection on your work or you as an author.
